The world’s smallest edible plant is the Asian Watermeal or Wolffia globosa. This amazing edible plant that makes a nutritious food has an average length of 0.6 mm and 0.3 mm in width. It weighs about 150 micrograms or the approximate weight of two ordinary grains of table salt. It has no leaves, no stems and no roots.
